Dormy Inn Kawasaki Natural Hot Spring 3 stars

Kawasaki Ward, Kawasaki

Attractively set in the Kawasaki Ward district of Kawasaki, Dormy Inn Kawasaki Natural Hot Spring is situated 7 km from Grandtree Musashikosugi, 7 km from Lala Terrace Musashikosugi and 8 km from... Dormy Inn is a no frills budget Hotel which is probably the best one I have ever stayed in! It’s new, clean and very comfortable, with a room that was larger than ones in APA hotel rooms. The 15th floor has a library (handy if you read Japanese) and you can find an internal sitting & viewing area along with an outside sitting & viewing area. The 15th floor also has washing & drying facilities and the Onsen. This is an amazing Onsen! The buffet breakfast was great along with a complimentary bowl of Ramen (no meat) in between the hours of 9:30pm - 11pm. This was probably not meant to be dinner but supper impressive! Out of decades of travel I’ve never come across this!!

Gora Saryo 4 stars

Gora Onsen, Hakone

Featuring a lush, 3000 square metre Japanese garden, Gora Saryo is a 20-minute taxi ride from Hakoneyumoto Train Station on the Odakyu Romancecar Line and also a minute away from Kamigora Station on... Everything perfect here, clean and tidy, nice staff and the boss (he is the chef too) is a genius, the meal he served were just bravo, he makes everything artistic! We went there after the super typhoon Hagibis so all transportation stopped and so the cable car, tram pirate ship. Luckily we rented a car and drive there, though some roads in Hakone area were blocked. But the stay at Gora Saryo just make up everything, will definitely come again when going to Hakone, thanks!

Scapes The Suite 4 stars

Hayama

Scapes The Suite in Hayama provides adults-only accommodation with a restaurant, free bikes and a private beach area. The staff were wonderful and very helpful. The food was really excellent. We had an amazing breakfast on the balcony overlooking tge beach and see with a view of Enoshima and a shrine. The room was huge as was the bed, which was extremely comfortable. A half botte of ready chilled champagne and macarons with strawberries on arrival and a personal message in chocolate on the board. Dinner with a view of the sea. We had the 6000 yen each course which proved to be more than enough food and absolutely delicious with drink as much as you want during that time. The winer was realy good! Quiet peaceful night and a great spa bath which ee enjoyed for one hour on the roof. There were jellies and water waiting for us. On departure we received a lovely personalised note and omomori from the shrine. One of our party was in a wheelchair and everywhere in the hotel was completely accessible. An elevator from the basement car park all the way up was available. Many small touches that made everything a fantastic one night stay. Yes, it is expensive BUT worth every penny for those special occasions. We lived it and ee will be back again in the near future after one of pur party has left hospital again. GO!:::))))
