Het Gecroonde Swaert is in a nicely renovated historic building in the center of Middelburg. The room was spacious and clean. In the morning there was a really good breakfast (different breads, fresh orange juice, fruit, yoghurt, egg, etc) delivered to the door. The owner was super welcoming. We had a very good stay here, and would highly recommend it!

There was nothing about our stay that we didn’t enjoy. Our hosts Caroline and Jan were delightful, the accommodation was perfect, the breakfasts were delicious and having the bicycles on loan was an extra bonus. Location from centrum also suited us - very accessible but oh so quiet.

The B and B was in a building just over 400 years old, right on a canal. The owners were very friendly and welcoming! The tasty breakfast was served on a huge tray right in our room. the room was spacious and homey and also had a loft and new bathroom fixtures. We loved using the complimentary bicycles and biking to the sea. The town of Middelburg was very interesting, and I tried some (great) fresh mussels for dinner on the square.

Everything about this place is beautiful: building, interior, breakfast, location, hosts. A perfectly clean room, extremely comfortable bed, very tasty (and big) breakfast, proper coffee, right in the middle of charming little streets of the city center (and still perfectly quiet during the night, we could sleep with the open window), very helpful and open for conversation hosts. I'm sure we'll be back!

Great location in a quaint little street. Really close to the centre of Middelburg. Owners were very friendly and allowed us to drop our bags off early so we didn’t have to cycle around all day with them. Bikes were stored overnight in the cellar. The most fantastic breakfast was served in the morning and the cinnamon donut was delicious.
This is a fantastic B&B situated in a charming and quiet street, close to a pleasant park and only a few minutes from all amenities. The staff is very welcoming and went out of their way to ensure we had a great stay. The room is modern, cosy and clean. The breakfast is excellent. This is a really good B&B and we had a wonderful stay.
Great atmosphere. You have your own comfy little house, tried to keep it in authentic style. Romantic. Cute. Sure, that means tiny staircases and all, but that’s part of the fun. Clean, quiet though very close to the city centre. Nespresso- machine well stocked. Breakfast 50 meter away, in nice little coffee shop. Good experience.
