Apex Waterloo Place Hotel 4 stars

Hotel in New Town, Edinburgh

With a stylish swimming pool and Scottish restaurant, the luxury 4-star Apex Waterloo Place Hotel offers sumptuous rooms with free WiFi. The location was great. Very close to the sight points in town and a short walk to others. Staff was delighted all the time. The food we had at dinner was really good! You must try the risotto and crumble dessert. We had no breakfast in the hotel. Around you will find nice places for breakfast and lunch/dinner as well. The only thing I can say that is under rate ten is the spa. Mainly the swimming pool with water not very hot. I do recommend this place! Keep collecting my Apex Ducks :) love them!

Edinburgh Grosvenor Hotel 4 stars

Hotel in West End, Edinburgh

In Edinburgh’s West End, this 4-star hotel is 0.5 miles from the lively city centre. Stylish rooms, a restaurant and a chic bar are all just a 2-minute walk from Haymarket Rail Station. This hotel was beautiful. The staff was professional and friendly. It far exceeded our expectations for function and luxury. The lobby area had a sitting area, and I believe it also hosted a bar as well. When we checked in, the receptionist graciously upgraded our room due to one being available without me having to ask or an additional fee. This room featured a lovely view of the church behind from the window. While we did not stay in the Haymarket area and opted to spend more time in Old Town, the neighborhood looked to be nice. The following day we had transportation later in the day and asked about storing luggage. The process was very professional, and they had a separate room dedicated to luggage storage. We were able to explore more of Edinburgh without worrying about cumbersome luggage, a huge plus.
