The host helped me to carry the big luggage upstairs.Moreover,he helped me to carry the luggage for500 meters to the Chinese restaurant to meet the bus to Irkutsk since there was a mistake when I booked with a chinese staff there. I should book the bus through him instead.Lots of thanks to him.

I actually found it was a relatively easy walk into Khuzir, perhaps 20 minutes one way. The path is not very well lit at night, so bring a torch if you're grabbing dinner in town. Kettle, small, single electric stove + pot/plates/mugs/paper serviettes were provided so could cook for myself adequately. View was stunning. Natalia was a sweetheart. Really lovely place to stay.

My sister and I stayed in the private twin room (£55 total for 2 nights) which was spacious and peaceful. A/c and heating available. Separate modern bathroom with toilets and hot shower. Lovely kitchen and common area with tv and strong WiFi. Located just 5 minutes from Main Street and 10 minutes to the fabulous Shaman Rock it’s location is perfect. Our host Dasha was fantastic and we were able to contact her quickly through WhatsApp to book tours and bus back to Irkutsk, she even treated us to a free breakfast on our departure day. If I’m lucky enough to visit again in future I will definitely return here

He personally took me on a tour of the island away from the areas that are frequented by the large tour groups, so it made me feel like I had the whole island to myself. The residence has a gorgeous view of the lake and is within walking distance to many sights, shops, and restaurants. I hope that I can someday return and stay here again. Highly recommended!
