A buffet breakfast is available daily at the guest house. I got to start by praising the manager, Valerio. Totally kind, attentive and professional. I have traveled a lot in my life, different countries and trip budgets, but it was in Velho Bateau that I was best treated. Valerio is always available making sure everything happens perfectly, and he goes above and beyond to provide his guests with the best experience ever. Valerio is definitely one of the best "assets" of Velho Bateau. Breakfast was delicious. The kitchen staff would prepare amazing eggs with cheese and ham, cake, bread, fruit, tapioca, and all kinds of outstanding Brazilian-fruit juices (e.g. caja, cupuacu, acerola). Coffee and tea also available, of course. Everything very fresh, clean and tidy. Moreover, the kitchen staff serves exceptional on-demand meals for lunch and dinner, totally worth trying - specially the New Year's feast, but I don't think that is coming around again until the end of 2021 lol. The structure is also great, probably the best hotel/hostel in Atins - I actually heard it from many different people in Atins, so it is not only my opinion. And it is fit for all tastes: if you are on a lower budget or want to experience communal life, you can sleep in one of the beds or hammocks in the hostel section. If you want more privacy, you can get one of the chalets. I personally tried both, as I stayed more than a week at Velho Bateau. Being totally honest, the hammock was the best, and it did wonders for my back (not joking here). With respect to Atins itself, I will not say more than "go see for yourself, you will be in awe, I am sure".

All guest rooms will provide guests with a fridge. We stayed at Beira Rio for two nights and we absolutely loved the place! The property is simple but very cozy and has a great cost-benefit. Breakfast is simple but everything was good and tasty. The backyard is a river where you can swim, relax and watch amazing sunsets. Mr. José, the owner, was very nice and friendly and made us feel like if we were at home!

The units in the guest house are equipped with a TV with satellite channels. Very good pousada! Helpful stuff, cozy design, soft beds, tasty breakfast, amazing view from the windows on river. Super!

Perfect location to take the boats. Restaurants very close. Staff very friendly. Cheaper to book tours with the pousada than agencies. Excellent service. We booked two nights and ended up staying one night only because we didn't like barreirinas. We went to atins instead and the pousada didn't force us to pay the night we didn't spend. Very nice of them!!!

Hosts were beyond friendly and made our trip very special.
