Located in Gdańsk's Old Town, 5 Point Hostel is within a walking distance of the city’s main sights, such as the Long Market and the Basilica of Saint Mary. It offers accommodation with free WiFi access throughout. Great hostel very close to the touristic attractions. Although there was no receptionist on site they send you the codes to enter the hostel as well as the wifi password. The receptionist Joanna, who was communicating with me online, even allowed me to switch rooms to something more comfortable.

Hostels. What are they?

Way more than just a cheap place to sleep, hostels are a social way to travel and meet like-minded people. Common areas like shared kitchens or games rooms are great ways to swap tips, tricks and travel stories with backpackers from all over the world.

Hostels have come a long, long way since the first youth hostel opened in 1912. From budget 'crash-pads' to five-star 'poshtels', today, hostels are for everybody, so whether you'd prefer a bed in a shared dorm or your own private room, you'll find most hostels are cheaper than a local hotel and far more fun.
