Lost Inn Lisbon Hostel

Baixa / Chiado, Lisbon

The wooden-floor rooms of the hostel feature access to shared bathroom facilities. They include beds in mixed and gender-specific dorm rooms as well as private twin and double rooms. All rooms feature views over the city. Well I was visiting Lisboa for 4 nights and 5 days and everything was fantastic. It’s unfair to compare a hostel with a hotel on this page but I really feel that this place is worth a comparison. Here are my thoughts 💭- O YEAH - Location - cant be better close to everything. Either you can walk or take the train / metro / tram. - Cleanliness - Room, lockers , bathroom, lobby area and even the kitchen and restaurant. Well maintained and very clean. - Hotel facilities - WIFI was perfect and strength was good and was available in the rooms as well. Sangria in the evening are hood stuff not worth to have. staff chats and talks around and always happy to suggest and share more. - Staff - RITA - Bruno - Ricardo are the GEMS of the hostel and very friendly and warm, super efficient and helpful. The check in was way better then some branded hotels I lived in. Missing the name of the lady who organized Valentine’s Day evening activity- well done and thank you. Just so much positive and happy energy. - Value for money - can’t complaint absolutely worth it super economical.

Charme da Graça

In a prime location in the Sao Vicente district of Lisbon, Charme da Graça is located 500 metres from Miradouro da Senhora do Monte, 1.4 km from St. George's Castle and 1.8 km from Rossio. Among the facilities at this property are a shared kitchen and room service, along with free WiFi throughout the property. Guests at the hostel can enjoy a continental breakfast. My stay at Charme da Graça was amazing. I came here for two days and, at the end, I stayed some weeks! One of the reasons I decided to stay was the good energy of this hotel and the way I was treated by the owners. The location is perfect. I love to walk, and this place is pretty close to many of the historical places in Lisbon. My room was nicely decorated, and had a small and beautiful balcony to a very beautiful and historic square where I could read, work, eat, listen to music… The breakfast was amazing: home-made fresh breakfast that included nice conversations with the owners! I also had lunch and dinner at the hotel, and I have to say that I ate better than in most of the restaurants I visited in town! I tried amazing traditional dishes from Portugal and Brazil, which I wouldn’t have never thought before I came to this hotel. When the owners saw that I was working in my bedroom, they usually came with some home-made bread and coffee to help me go through the afternoon. Do you understand now why I decided to stay? :) I really felt like I was at home. I travel a lot, and I don’t remember being treated like this before. I will definitely come back when I travel around Lisbon. Charme da Graça is definitely the best name for this place!

Hostels. What are they?

Way more than just a cheap place to sleep, hostels are a social way to travel and meet like-minded people. Common areas like shared kitchens or games rooms are great ways to swap tips, tricks and travel stories with backpackers from all over the world.

Hostels have come a long, long way since the first youth hostel opened in 1912. From budget 'crash-pads' to five-star 'poshtels', today, hostels are for everybody, so whether you'd prefer a bed in a shared dorm or your own private room, you'll find most hostels are cheaper than a local hotel and far more fun.
