The location is great! The view of the valleys is always welcoming. The breakfast was mostly south Indian and had nothing to complain. I would like to add they are flexible with menu and when requested, can make authentic Coorgi food(local cuisine) too. The fire place was something we enjoyed too on the cold evening. The best part is they don't have dedicated television in the rooms, which I greatly appreciate as this takes away the essence of a vacation. The hosts are very welcoming and have a very friendly approach.

A special mention for Shiva, the caretaker of the property. He is always smiling and ready to help. So is the owner. They want us to be happy when we are there and they take all the care for this to happen. We had asked for dinner and the food they gave us was lip-smacking. Authentic Coorg food..Just lovely. The rooms are comfortable, its like another home. Would love to visit again and stay there. The Parking was good. We had 2 other families there and my daughter & wife had a terrific time. It was like a joint family where you all sit and discuss. Loved the ambiance. Last, loved the food. Special mention of Siva, always there to help.

The caretaker Shiva is a highlight who, with a pleasant face, promptly attends to your every need. He cooks very well tasty and healthy (non greasy). He is ready to go the extra mile to please guests. Bathrooms are new and very clean. All bedrooms have a bathroom. Living room has comfy sofas where you can read a book, work on your laptop or watch TV. He makes excellent snacks in the evening and tea. His expertise is limited to south Indian dishes for breakfast and evening snacks. Not sure about dinner and lunch. The owners are also competent well organised, helpful and really want guests to have a good time. It was a great relaxing experience sipping a cup of tea or munching away on snacks watching the Madikeri town or the sun rise. Overall a good vacation made great by the folks at Notting Hill.

Notting Hill Homestay is Nestled on Stuart Hill facing the town of Madikeri, the district capital of Coorg, come and enjoy this beautiful cottage. See the beautiful sunrise from the verandah and bask in the first rays of the sun over a cup of coffee that is grown right here in Coorg. This homestay is situated in a quieter part of the town and offers a picturesque view of the township and the hill ranges. The property has just undergone renovation and face lift to offer a better product to our guests. Notting Hill Homestay is a three bedroom cottage with two bathrooms. The caretaker living in the premises, apart from taking care of guest needs, also whips up good Indian food, especially dishes that are native to Coorg including the famous "pandhi curry". The tariff includes complimentary breakfast, tea and coffee. We offer FREE high speed wireless internet (WiFi). Children under 6 years of age stay free of charge, if extra mattress is required for them then charges apply. We are happy to offer our services in planning your local sightseeing requirements. Notting Hill is a typical Coorg house with long verandah and wooden ceiling. It excudes warmth and cosy comfort.
I am sometimes described as a woman with wings. I love travelling and have done a fair bit of it , from USA in the West to New Zealand in the East. I do expect a good quality accommodation with good food in all my travels and I believe that my guests deserve the same. I hope that they will have a great time at Notting Hill and leave Coorg with good memories.
