Close enough to be able to walk to downtown and monuments. William and Kitty were very helpful and provided guidance to make the most of our stay.

William spoke good English and was very helpful with places to see and visit even providing a lift to the station for the train into Amsterdam. Maps were provided of further places to visit and advice given on places to park the car. Breakfast was lovely. Fresh bread, meats, cheeses, jams and boiled eggs. Also coffee and tea, all served on beautiful china. Altogether a great place to stay to visit Amsterdam and the beach if you so wanted. Bikes were available as an alternative to the car.

A very friendly welcome from William and Kitty and lots of useful information. The free bikes were great and they gave us suggestions for a route (which was really picturesque). A tasty breakfast in the large front room with Mozart playing quietly on the stereo - a super start to the day.

Op de tweede verdieping van ons jaren twintig karakteristiek herenhuis zijn onze twee B&B-kamers, met op deze verdieping douche, toilet, koelkast, minibar en koffie/thee-faciliteiten. Onze sleutelwoorden zijn rust, huiselijkheid, gastvrijheid en...Haarlem!
Kitty en Wim houden beiden van reizen, lezen, tennissen en het ontmoeten van nieuwe mensen. Kitty houdt daarnaast van schilderen en tuinieren, Wim van geschiedenis. Hij houdt ook van schrijven en heeft verschillende boeken over de (cultuur)geschiedenis van Haarlem gepubliceerd en kent de stad en omgeving op zijn duimpje..
Haarlem is een prachtige stad, met een goed bewaard historisch centrum. Haarlem heeft veel bezienswaardigheden (Bavokerk, Kathedrale Basiliek, musea, hofjes, monumenten), een grote verscheidenheid aan goede winkels en enorm veel leuke kroegen en uitstekende restaurants. Het strand en de zee (Bloemendaal aan Zee en Zandvoort) zijn vlakbij, net als het Nationaal Park De Kennemerduinen, waar het heerlijk wandelen en fietsen is.
