The location is at the intersection of the Chiado and Bairro Alto districts, which makes it possible to visit Lisbon in any direction, without too much effort. Given the conditions imposed by the pandemic, cleaning is done on request, changing towels and linen as well, to minimize personal contact, which we agreed. Breakfast was plentiful, consisting of a plate of cold food, fruit, orange juice, milk, etc. which I received every afternoon and kept in the fridge. The staff was very kind, changing the types of yogurts and cereals at our request and supplying us with coffee reserves for the espresso machine. They were extremely kind, because we checked in late at night, they sent a taxi after us to the airport and having the time to take off home at midnight they let us use the apartment until the evening of departure, at no extra cost. If we return to Lisbon we would choose the same accommodation location, it was one of the accommodations I would recommend!

Location is perfect, easy accessible by public transport, apt. has all amenities one could wish for, super clean, great breakfast, attentive hosts, good bed, soundproofed (you are in the center of Lisbon and the floors are made of wood, but for where this is, it's quiet). One of our top picks in Lisbon. Located at just a 5-minute walk from Camões Square, offers accommodation in a prime within historic . It is next to the lively streets of trendy and features a unique industrial-style décor from an award-winning architect, within a building that once housed the República newspaper.
Featuring and studios, Chiado Arty Flats has air-conditioned units some featuring balconies and/or city views. Each comes with a bathroom, which has a shower with metal plates. There is a living area, complete a satellite flat-screen TV and sofas made out of large tubings. All are self-catering, with either a full kitchen or an equipped kitchenette. There are pictures of Bairro Alto's grafittis on the walls and metal barrels are fashioned as washbasins and as tables. A machine is featured in all accommodation types. Free WiFi is offered throughout the property.
Guests are welcome to cook their own meals in the studio or , using the kitchen or the kitchenette at their disposal. Alternatively, guests can visit the many on offer within a 5-minute walk and try out the famed Portuguese cuisine. Both and Bairro Alto are filled with popular restaurants, bars, cafés and eateries.
Rossio is just 650 yards away, while the high end shops and boutiques of Avenida da Liberdade are within a 10-minute walk. At 550 yards is Baixa-Chiado Metro Station, which provides connection to most of the city's more renowned areas. The São Pedro de Alcântara Belvedere is at a 3-minute walk, providing sweeping views over Lisbon's rooftops and monuments. The nearest airport is Lisbon Portela Airport, 4.3 miles from the property. The airport is reachable via metro ride.

This fully renovated building is located in one of the most prime areas of Lisbon, the historic center of the city, between Bairro Alto and Chiado, more precisely at the famous square "Largo da Misericordia". The original building was built in the 18th century and was expanded in the middle of the 20th century to become the printing section of the famous "Republica" newspaper, a very important vehicle for the implementation of democracy in Portugal. In addition to large rolls of printing, there were also large paint cans entering the building. The semi-industrial decoration of the apartments was inspired on that activity, using materials like: - Large tubes in the sofas - Fluted materials in showers - Large "bidons" as washbasins or room tables Also, the large vinyls on the walls are photos of the existing graffiti and posters at the "Bairro Alto" (bohemian and artistic neighborhood) streets just a few minutes walking from the building.
We are a family (father and son) of Architects and the buiding is in the family for centuries. Now we have decides to open it's doors to the world!
Chiado is the name of a square and its surrounding area in the city of Lisbon, Portugal. The Chiado is located between the neighbourhoods of Bairro Alto and Baixa Pombalina. It is a traditional shopping area that mixes old and modern commercial establishments, mostly located at the Carmo and Garrett streets.[citation needed] The most well-known café of Chiado is "A Brasileira", famous for having had poet Fernando Pessoa among its customers, and today it is very popular among tourists. The Chiado is also an important cultural area, with several museums and theatres. In 1988, the Chiado area was severely affected by a fire, when 18 buildings were partially or totally destroyed.[1] Since then, owing to a renovation project coordinated by architect Álvaro Siza Vieira that lasted for more than 10 years, the affected area has recovered and features the highest real estate property prices in Portugal.
