This is very crowded street with vendors literally screaming at you, and there is the rare but possible pickpocket. Still, it is a nice place for buying random stuff in bulk at shops with the most diverse stock, and is very close to Mercado Municipal and its quality food.
This street is a mecca for shopping cheap Chinese goods, most of them contrabanded into the country. Lot's of bargains, but only go there if a Brazilian can go with you, not too safe for foreigners (pickpockets abound)
Great t shop at a ridiculous cheap prices, but be safe and take just what you need, a simple bag to put all your shopping inside is handy, keep belongings in front of you such as bag pack or purse, keep it low key and if your going accompanied stay together it is very crowded. comfortable shoes, lots to see long way to walk.
