We left at 6:30am to get there before the first boat load of people that sets off at 9am. Beautiful up and down hill hike crossing two other beaches and through a rainforest type jungle. Beach was empty so we had the place to ourselves for about an hour. Waves are great but the current is strong. Great breeze with most coming from the waves but is dangerous cause you don’t realise how hot it so we ended up getting very burnt!
The 25 minute walk to this beech was very steep. The water was better for surfers and not for swimmer due to its strong current. No facilities except locals selling cold drinks. Lifeguard station manned by two lifeguards . Beautiful white sand and plenty of natural shade.
Great lodge and very friendly staff, perfectly located close to the amazing Lopes Mendes beach. We really enjoyed our stay!
