The Old Town Square is picturesque and even more so during the Christmas Markets when they are crowded with the wonderful smells of gingerbread, gluhwein; the church bells ringing and a chorus of Christmas Carols. Perfect.
Step away from the main square and walk down busy and not busy side streets to find fun dining places for lower prices than the big streets. For a busy traveller, a Day-Pass is great to increase your ability to see so many beautiful sites.
We loved the Jazz festival live music playing in the old Town Square. While listening to music you could carefully look at all of the wonderful historical buildings around the square and watch people relaxing as the sun went down. Beautiful energy.
Much going on all the time. Be careful of the Street vendors selling the Ham & Hlusky. Price posted is by kg and slapped an extra piece of fat ( that NOBODY was going to eat ) on the plate to add extra weight.
Spoils by Disney style twelve foot pandas, polar bear and penguin in bobble hat. The architecture is worth seeing but much needs cleaning. Shop fronts have been allowed to develop out of character and spoil the feel of it.be sure to see the clock (along with hundreds of others!).
Amazing atmosphere with lots to see. Wouldn’t recommend eating or drinking there as price of beer is about £4 and Coke is even more expensive! Normal price of beer is just over £1. Very over-priced
Hotel Lippert is a superb place to visit Prague. It's located on a perfect spot on Old Town Square: my room had an awesome view of Tyn Church. It's also less than a minute away from the astronomical clock and a few minutes by foot from the Jewish district and from Staroměstské náměstí subway station. The rooms are clean (there's a bottle of alcoholic disinfectant in the bathroom too), spacious and comfortable. For breakfast, there are several options (a menu) and a self-service. And the staff is very friendly and helpful!
Excellent location of the apartments based in the pretty patio in old town square, with many monuments, restaurants nearby. Great standard of rooms (huge and clean apartment with comfortable beds, nice furniture and good bathroom). Tasty breakfest served between 9 and 11. Object staff was very friendly and helpful (I travelled by a car, so I received great support to find safe parking place next door patio, what is not so easy in the central part of Prague).
Breakfasr was very good. The hotel is 10minutes walk from Prague main station. The old town square with the astronomical clock, Charles' bridge, the Prague Museum, Jewish quarter and many other local attractions are within 10-15 minutes walk from the hotel. A very convenient location. There is a convenient store just two doors away and a bank very close to the hotel where you can exchange money safely.
Excellent apartment just a 10 minute walk from the old town square. Brilliant facilities in the apartment especially the shower which was great. Easy to collect keys as the owner met us right outside and on time. Owner also really accommodating if you needed any help. Will definitely use again.
The breakfast selection was excellent. Also good cocktails at the bar, which were good value when it was 'happy hour'! The location of the hotel was really good, and only about 10 mins walk to the main old town square, with lots of restaurants nearby.
Good location (10 minute walk to the Old Town Square), comfortable bed, and the breakfast buffet options were good for the price. The hotel had Covid rules in place, as well as clear guidance posted around the communal areas.
Great location, probably one of the best in old Prague, just a minute from Old town square. Very friendly staff, nothing was a problem, parking just next to the hotel. huge room -free upgrade in COVID era.
The location was perfect, it's just a few minutes away from the old town square. The breakfast was really good. The hotel is a bit old fashioned, but the room was very nice and clean.
Move away from the main tourist streets (like Karlova and everything around Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí). Go on foot to Vyšehrad.
National Museum (Národní museum) or Museum of Warhol, Dalí and Mucha on Old Town Square (Staroměstské náměstí).
To walk along river Vltava to Charles´s bridge and through this to Prague Castle, Stop by on Old Town Square and look at the Astronomical clock Orloj and enjoy the street musicians and artists.
In every corner of Prague Castle or in Churches, in Old Town square and in thiny streets etween old buildings history comes to life
King Charles Bridge, Kampa Museum, Astrological Clock, Old town square
