I hate museums. HATE. And I actually thought this one was worth going to. You have an audio guide so you can choose how much or little you listen to - I cherry picked the most interesting sections while my husband listened to every single one. You need to make sure to allow plenty of time to go through the museum; it takes at least two hours. There are a lot of videos of Hitler giving his speeches and of Nuremberg during that time - it's really fascinating. The zeppelin field is a must after going through the museum; but it is a bit of a walk to get to.
Such an amazing and insightfully sombre experience. I spent 4 hours in the Documentation area alone and the level of information detailing the rise and fall of Hitler and the Nazi party is the most extensive I've experienced. I did the bus tour and although in German once in the exhibition information clearly puts the grounds into perspective. I then took a walk by myself to take in the area and it's significance. A dark history and how Nuremberg has overcome its past.
