Just 100 metres from the Friedrichstraße shopping street, this modern, 4-star-superior hotel is centrally located in the Mitte district of Berlin. Super clean rooms, very good breakfest 👍😋

This hotel is located in a quiet courtyard in the centre of Berlin, a 3-minute walk from Friedrichstraße Train Station. Wi-Fi is available in all areas of Hotel Amelie. Rooms were clean and location was great :)
So much history regarding Brandenburg Gate. Before you go here go to Checkpoint Charlie museum and watch Reagan's "Mr Gorbachev, tear down this wall" speech in full, made at Brandenburg Gate. Inspiring.
Very impressive. If you go into the DZ Bank you can see an interesting sculpture. Hotel Adlon brings back memories of Michael Jackson dangling his baby son Blanket out the window. Watch out for cyclists as you walk through the gate as you can wander into their path/trajectory whilst marvelling at the gate!
it is a nice place .very grate and the line on the street which show the territory of west and east Berlin, every thing is amusing ,many people in every minute visit there , and you can understand why the war is bad ,and humanity will remain for every time.i suggest to every one to visit BRANDENBURG GATE.
coffee near Brandenburger Tor: forget lousy Starbucks with their paper coffee cans, and take a coffee in style at the (Austrian) cafe Einstein, and do not forget their wonderfull pies. Not cheap, but absolutely first class. Einstein Unter Den Linden 42 · Website · +49 30 2043632 Unter den Linden 42, 10117 Berlin ·
If you want a great picture of the gate, go to the opposite side of the sun, so the gate comes in between you and the sun. It creates play of shadow and light that adds depth to the shot otherwise missing.
Superb, you are near the Reichstag so bring your photo Id and pop to the booking office to reserve a place to the Reichstag dome its on the street next to the souvenier shop outside the Reichstage. Took lots photos of the Gate.
Traveled with my 2 adult children and the room was super spacious with a balcony looking into a lovely courtyard. Only 5 minutes away from Checkpoint Charlie and yet very quiet and safe neighborhood. Plenty of bakeries and restaurants nearby also. You can walk within 20 minutes to the Brandenburg Gate/Reichtstag and everything in that corner. Subway stations are close by or you take one of the many electric scooters at any street corner. It was a perfect weekend in Berlin and I most definitely would stay at the Mercure again!
The hotel is in a perfect location near the Kurfürstendamm and a metro station. There is also, at 2 mn walking distance, a bus stop which brings you directly to the Brandenburg Gate. The hotel itself is nice and clean and has a private car parking at a reasonnable rate. Small supermarket just across the road and some restaurants (not tested). At 3 minutes there is the KaDeWe a very big shopping mall and of course, if you walk 2 minutes more you're in the middle of the Kurfürstendamm.
The location is impeccable in downtown Berlin. You have almost instant access to the Alexanderplatz train station along with SBAHN & UBAHN. Right out the door is the 5 story Galleria shopping center along with Museum Island and the Brandenburg gate within 20 min or less walk. Highly recommend the location for anyone looking to visit Berlin. Abundant parking was available in the Q parking center (24 Euro/day) which was adjacent to the hotel.
We didn't know much about the surrounding location prior to our visit but it turned out to be a superb location which we will definitely be coming back to. Lots of interesting restaurants and close to a gay quarter with unique night life. It's about 40min walking distance to the Brandenburg Gate. The hotel itself was clean, the beds were comfortable, it included a mini fridge and a kettle.
Good selection at breakfast but cooked food was cold. Excellent location, very near to the hauptbanhoff and major sites like the Reichstag and Brandenburg Gate. Staff very helpful and accommodating. Hotel bar closed sunday perhaps a relief barman would be the way forward? Hygiene was superb and at breakfast every precaution was taken to keep guests safe during covid 19.
It is next to the Berliner Dome. The Brandenburg Gate is also 4 to 5 bus stops away and is within walking distance. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were comfortable. Breakfast was the most varied and delicious and I was able to park even after check out.
Value for money, clean, massive rooms, friendly staff and walking distance to Brandenburg gate.
