The view is great but unfortunately the whole structure lacks an exciting amusement ride on top of the big ball. There is a rotating floor in the restaurant but it spins really slow and I wasn't really impressed by it. It's ok if you go on a romantic date but your partner must not be afraid of heights or dislike rotating floors.
Fernsehturm (The Television Tower) is a 368 meter structure and the tallest landmark in the city. Located next to Alexanderplatz, it can be seen from many locations around Berlin. The TV Tower was constructed in the 1960s and resembles a thin needle with a metal sphere near its antenna, pointing upward into the sky. You can admire and take photos of Fernsehturm from quite a few places in the Mitte district while sightseeing other locations. From Alexanderplatz, you are much closer and can better appreciate its size and scale. Interested visitors can enter Fernsehturm and go up to the Observation platform (€15.50-17.50) which is over 200 meters above the ground. From here you will see 360 degree views of the city. Opening hours are 10am to midnight during winter months. You can purchase your tickets directly at the TV Tower or in advance online if you want Fast Track tickets that allow you to skip queues upon arrival. Note: There is a Sphere restaurant as well for those potentially interested in dining in the sky.
The design of the room is really nice. We also appreciated the view: Berlin tv tower, radio rower and a former gasholder are all in sight. The breakfast is worth mention as well, it offered a great variety of fruits and hot meals.
