I booked a tower access ticket through booking.com and it was amazing to take that lift up the tower and get a skyview of the construction. It is a steep narrow staircase down but it gave me the cultural and adventure experience I wanted, needed.
One of the sightseeing highlights of the world! An absolute must see. Worth booking in advance to get inside, especially if you are in Barcelona on a weekend or holiday. It really is an extraordinary building. Don't miss it.
Take a guided tour, really interesting to find out info on construction, use of light and thought processes in the concept/building of the Sagrada Familia. After the tour you can wander around by yourself. Allow 2 or more hours for this visit Amazing (highlight of our visit)
Amazing. I recommend booking the tour through Sagrada Familia so you can learn about everything you are seeing. Interesting facts about each part of the cathedral. I went during late afternoon to view the amazing colors in the church created when the sun is setting and enters the cathedral through the stained glass windows.
This is a "must see" if you don't see anything else this city has to offer. It is amazing, there are no words to accurately tell you how amazing it is. Just go, you cannot be disappointed and you don't have to like churches (I'm not a huge fan) to marvel in this ones architecture.
To think of a structure under construction for more than 100 years and still not yet completed is just mind boggling. It is one of a kind on this Planet and should be designated as one of the wonders of this modern world, although it's beginning's were more than 100 years ago. What a man, what a Architect, a Engineer and a Environmentalist long long before his time and before the word Environment was even contemplated
Eixample, Barcelona
The hostel is very well located, between Sagrada Familia and Diagonal, it's very central but the neighbourhood is calm and there are plenty of metro and bus options. The staff is great, they were always there if we needed something, even let us check out a bit later. The place is super clean and cozy. We had a room for three with a private bathroom and a small balcony - it was perfect. Next time we're in Barcelona we're definitely staying there!!
Eixample, Barcelona
The location of the hostel is very good - in walking distance of a metro station. Sagrada Familia, Casa Batlló and Casa Milá are also very close. The hostel is in the first floor of a nice historical building. The equipment is simple, but similar to other hostels and there is everything that tourists need. The staff was very nice and helpful. The hostel is a good choice for a short stay in Barcelona.
Hotel centrally located, close to the Ramblas, La Sagrada Familia, and the metro station. The room was just right for a night's stay. Small but clean rooms. Safety mesures well respected right through our stay. Buffet breakfast was served by staff with personal protective equipment. Good breakfast. Extremely friendly and helpful staff. Safe enclosed parking below hotel.
Eixample, Barcelona
Our stay was very good. The apartment was very clean and looked just like in photos. Beds were amazing! I've never slept on the mattress so comfortable. Kitchen was very well equipped. Apartment is in very good localization - pretty neighbourhood with cafes and shops everywhere but very calm. Very close to Sagrada Familia, and metro station as well (1 minute).
Eixample, Barcelona
The location is unbeatable you right by Barcelona's main attraction La Sagrada Familia. Everything is nearby and the apartment is clean and secure. The rates are also very fair I have stayed at far more expensive places in Barcelona and the apartments were poor in comparison to Hostemplo.
perfect location near Sagrada Familia, you can walk everywhere, hotel is in the city centre. We loved the rooftop terrace with an amazing view and great music. We spent there couple of hours each day just chilling. Delicious breakfast, nice staff too. Totally recommended.
Eixample, Barcelona
Very nice 2-bedroom apartment close to Sagrada Familia. The apartment is modern, beds super comfortable, shower is great. Perfect for exploring Barcelona
If you visit Goudi's Battlo house do so after doing the Barcelona tourist bus trip (buy tickets from the underground Information office (good english plus you can get Sagrada familia tickets for a timed entrance thus avoiding the queues) in Pl Catalunya next to El Corte Ingles){ same ticket can be used on red, blue and green routes although green is all but worthless} and along with ticket/s you get a discount booklet incl 3 Euro off the price of Battlo (21euro entry) which you can then spend on the audio/visual tablet which shows you the furniture which was in each room, desks, tables/chairs and altar etc which greatly enhances the understanding of this dragon house. It also shows where Goudi developed some of the ideas used in the Sagrada Familia. The opportunity to have your photo taken (10 euro photo or 13 euro photo + digital download ) from the highest sharks mouth balcony should be taken as it will probably be one of the few which includes everyone rather than excludes the one holding the camera.
start in the top of the castel of Montjuic - excellent view of the city, walk down toward Placa Espanya - very nice view and nice architecture nearby, take the Metro to Sagrada Familia then walk down in the nice avenues to the Ghotic district just walk through the nice small street find a nice tapas bar beer and small dishs will do the work for summary an excellent day
one of the most interesting churches i've been to in Barcelona is definitely Sagrada Familia because of its untraditional sculptures and interior. it gives a great insight on the famous architecture of Barcelona; lead by Gaudi.
The Sagrada Familia is amazing, the stained glass windows are fantastic.
Готический квартал, Саграда Фамилия и Парк Гуэля, футбол на стадионе Камп Ноу
Both the Sagrada Familia and the Catedral de Barcelona are highly recommended
