Absolutely fabulous, must visit the Maritime Museum. Cafes, shops, restaurants all good, but it's the buildings themselves that are so fascinating. So old yet so sturdy, hundreds of years, millions of workers, so much commerce, passed through these docks, until air freight replaced shipping.
Lovey place very interesting history ,get the tour bus around the city hop on & off it’s s must as you see places you would miss just walking about then you can get off & on at places that interest you.
Worst place ever, total dump, it is like a bedsit. We lost £470 as we didnt stay the 2 nights we booked due to the state of the place. Dirty walls, missing lightbulbs, missing blinds/curtains, someones supper still in the oven. It was like playing The Krypton Factor trying to get the keys to start with. Very limited parking. Light fittings hanging from ceiling. There were no reviews when we booked in January but after looking now it seems that we were not the only ones who felt the same way. No joy of refund from vendor, Booking or my Credit Card so i intend to take further. Please Please Please do not book this Hovel.
Already spoiled by brutal concrete development but still a remarkable example of dockside trade albeit the latter of UK exploitative colonial past now increasingly recognised in the Maritime Museum nearby.
Definitely visit The Smugglers Cove, food was incredible, the cocktails are amazing, the atmosphere was great, and staff were so friendly. It a bar with some real character and the decor is stunning. Also visit The Pump House, again lots of drinks, friendly and welcoming staff, and a great atmosphere. The docks itself they’re amazing and there’s so much round about to do. It was lovely to just walk round and on the tour bus to hear about some of the history as well.
Make sure to visit the nearby 'Museum of Liverpool', the nearby statue of 'Billy Fury' and the 'Maritime Museum'. Also the nearby 'Liver Building', with the nearby. You could take a trip of the 'Mersey Ferry', visit the 'Beatles Story' museum, and there is a good selection of shops and restaurants around the 'Albert Docks'.
Excellent Location, close to the Mersey Ferry and Sightseeing Buses, however stance temporarily moved to the Albert Docks due to roadworks. Shops Bars and restaurants close at hand (walking distance). However Once roadworks end sightseeing bus tours stance will be right outside Crowne Plaza. See the Cruise ships which also leave 2min walk outside Hotel to dock. Breakfast was excellent, staff friendly and so helpful "exceptional doorman", When I return to Liverpool I will definately stay at this hotel.
Beautiful hotel, lovely staff, loved the relaxation pool and thought the room/reception areas were super clean. It's got everything you could possibly need, loved the minibar in the room and the TV in our room was absolutely huge. Big bathroom with a great bathtub. The location is AMAZING, right next to Liverpool Central station and just a few minutes walk from Albert Dock and all the main shopping streets. Just the location alone is a reason enough for me to come back.
The apartment was really great with amazing views over Liverpool, Kevin our host was so helpful and met us on our arrival. The apartment was modern, clean and well equipped with everything you need for an enjoyable stay. The apartment was located close by to restaurants, bars, shops and The Albert Dock, everything was in walking distance. We are pretty pleased with ourselves that we have found this property and we will definitely be back for more stays.
Really helpful and friendly staff. Excellent location, right next to Albert Dock and around a 10 minute walk to the station. Multiple car parks around the hotel and a lovely breakfast included in the price of the room. Cannot fault it! Will definitely be returning by to this hotel. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment - like a home away from home.
The hotel is on the docks so you get a great view of the water. The Royal Albert Dock is a relaxing 15 minute walk away with many attractions to explore. The free parking was great and I was able to pay a reasonable fee to leave my car there when I did a ferry trip for a week.
Whilst fairly compact, this apartment had everything you could need, all very cleverly laid out and housed. It was immaculately clear, the staff were very friendly and it was perfectly positioned, especially for Albert dock.
Nice hotel and staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is very nice and was well organised to ensure COVID compliance. Fairly well located between Albert Dock and Liverpool One. 5 mins walk from Liverpool one bus terminus.
