Situated on Plymouth Hoe, The Grosvenor is just half a mile from Plymouth Ferry Port. Free Wi-Fi, the hotel offers cooked breakfasts and cosy bedrooms. Super happy with the location. Very friendly staff. Good breakfast selection.
Don't bank on a quick service at the bar. Took forever and you were herded into a queue. Pants. Go to a local bar instead. Seats were skanky and the place smelt damp. It's also quite dilapidated
great performance from Katherine Ryan, the venue need a bit more practice at organising events though. It's soul destroying to have to queue for the under staffed bar, then have announcements warning that the performance is going to start. It's the Pavillions that was holding us up!
The venue was ok, long queues for the bar to be expected, but the real dissapointment was that the sound system just wasn't there for the main act. The music sounded tinny, and not bassy enough, I understand sound restrictions may be in place but this was not what you would expect when seeing The Prodigy!
We came here to see Robert Plant, and had a wonderful evening. Security were friendly and helpful, whilst remaining low-key. We noticed sniffer dogs were used to sweep for explosives in a very unobtrusive way,- and this made us feel safe.Lovely intimate venue & a truly memorable experience.
Perfect location for my stay. City centre close as is Plymouth Hoe for a walk. Across the road from Plymouth Pavilions if you are visiting there.
breakfast was very good & plentiful. Very close to Theatre Royal & Plymouth Pavilions Single room was a good size
Hotel is located right next to Plymouth pavilions and across from Wetherspoons, easy walk into the city centre or the Hoe
