Even without the market being open, this was a worthwhile visit. It is longer than we had anticipated which was also good. Some good cafes. We ate at a French bakery that had delicious savoury rolls and even more tempting cakes and pastries
Go early, less crowded. Or go later, less crowded. Sometimes some better deals. Sellers want to make a sale before going home. Don't be in a hurry. Have cash; not all vendors take credit cards - and those are often with the more unusual one-off items.
Watch your Wallet!!! Because of the throngs of crowds on a Saturday; Opportunist Pick-pockets work the area. I worked here at weekends and tourists regularly lost Mobile phones and Wallers as they naively shopped. Fabulous Ambience, Amazing Market, if you’re looking for the locations for the film ‘Notting Hill’ Google this before visiting; as sites are not clearly marked.
If you haven't visited this market, I suggest it is a place to go when visiting London. Wow, this market has everything you could possibly need, lot's and lot's of stalls from fruit and veg, to antiques and food stalls which gets the mouth watering.
