Really good Indian restaurant (Ganges) on the first floor with special lunch deals and the best view onto the marina - highly recommended. Otherwise not worth spending much time here. Matalan, TKMaxx and Asda have stores around the corner, therefore worth combining with a shopping trip.
It’s wonderfully wild and rugged out on the shingle and rocks contrasting with the fun inner parts of boats, launches, other moorings, surrounding apartments etc. I liked it very much especially as so heard it was all built on reclaimed land on top of huge boulders from Norway!! A great place to see birds and seals. I liked being able to walk along the marina’s edge on firm surface pathways. People need to be more considerate and careful by cleaning up after their dogs:(:(
Thai restaurant on the harbour was the best Thai food we have ever had, harbour itself is beautiful, shops and parking all together which was enough to do for half a day out. Really enjoyed the friendly atmosphere.
Excellent place for dining and watching the world go by. If you fancy a day's serious angling, an afternoon/evening mackerel fishing trip for the kids, or even just a spin around the harbour, Jon at Misty Blue charters is your man.
It is but a short drive to Sovereign Harbour from Eastbourne. There is plenty of free parking as it is also a retail park. The walk to the harbour and marina is from the side of the cinema (we had to ask!). The harbour has plenty of places to have a meal. Our choice was The Harvester (overlooking the marina) and we were not disappointed.
A collision of wealth and out of town shopping. Watch the boats go through the locks - very relaxing. Muse at the many signs telling you "Private Land" just off the public beach.. Its quite buzzy though. A good bus service gives you an escape back to Eastbourne and reality.
Perfect location as was diving from Sovereign harbour
