Within the UNESCO-protected Venetian walls in the heart of ancient Zadar, Art Hotel Kalelarga is located on the main promenade called Kalelarga. In an excellent location with a friendly and helpful staff.
The sounds generated by the mechanisations of water and wind have a haunting melodious touch. This place is a must visit around 2000hrs. Its a very soothing experience to sit by the sea side, watch the water, listen to the sounds and watch the sun gradually recede to the horizon.
We were only in Zadar for 16 hours -- an overnight, but loved the Sea Organ so much we went twice. Bring your swimsuit. You can go into the clear ocean water right in front of the organ, I'm guessing the sound is amazing from the water side. My only regret - didn't have my suit!
It's a very unique instrument, and fits very well into the surroundings. Creates a weirdly relaxing sound. Nice gathering place for young people, especially in the evening. Great place to watch the sunset.
Mesmerising. You can jump in the water here too which was fun and refreshing. In july and august though this place is rammed. Absolutely packed. You can hear the sea organ standing behind hundreds of other people.
Pretty cool, but a lot of people around at all times especially at sunset. People are not shy to cosy up to you... Not great if you don't like to be surrounded by lots of others. We went further up in the corner one evening where we could still hear the organ a little and watch the sunset without being completely surrounded.
Definitely worth a visit, especially in the late afternoon or early in the morning. And make sure there's some wind otherwise you won't hear anything, because the wind is "playing" the music, pushing the water through the pipes. Beautiful place for relaxation and meditation. Lay down and soak in some sunshine while listening to nature producing music.

The location was close to the town centre, beaches and supermarkets Very clean and well-equipped apartment with attention to detail. Excellent welcome and information about the area from Antonella and her friendly family We very much appreciated the earlier check in and later check-out and being able to leave our bags at the apartment as we had an evening flight We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment and would return if we ever visited Zadar again Thoroughly enjoyed the sea organ and watching the sunset

Everything was absolutely lovely! The apartment is in a very central location and it is possible to park the car in a courtyard right in front of it for free. It was spotless and the bed was very comfortable. The kitchen has everything you need and there was some coffee which made my day! It takes just five minutes walking to the sea organ to contemplate an amazing sunset! Visnja was really nice and communication was very easy and efficient.

The apartment is in the heart of the Old Town, very close to the Sea Organ. The host was very friendly and welcoming and gave us suggestions for food, restaurants, bars, ice cream and cake shops. Everything is very close to this place and the public transport connection to the rest of the town, the islands, and the airport is very good.

Beautiful modern apartment, extremely clean with huge rooms and a lovely well stocked kitchen. Shower was amazing and the location is close to the sea organ and all the best restaurants in the Old Town. The hosts were great and allowed us to leave baggage so we could continue to explore the city after checking out.

A pretty and clean apartment in a beautiful old building with a balcony over-looking a lovely little church. It's very close to the Sea Organ but off the main strip so not too busy even during the peak of evening. We were met by a very friendly and helpful property manager who spoke excellent English.

Everything was perfect. The apartment was clean and tidy and well equipped. It is located in the heart of the city, and whatever you want to visit it's only few minutes away, the Sea Organ, Greeting to the Sun, ancient buildings and ruins, the marina. The host is beyond helpful.

The apartment is nearby the bay area, walkable distance to the sea organ, and greeting to the sun. The host is informative about the places to see in Zadar. Also, the host was very understanding, as we kept changing the arrival timings.

Apartment was equipped with all the necessary commodities for a comfortable stay. Location was excellent, 5-10 minutes walk from the sea organ, and greeting to the sun points of interest, and overall a very central location.
Go to the sea organ at sunset, it is really beautiful
Sat on a bench at the Greeting To The Sun, or sat listening to the Sea Organ nearby.
The old forum is a must. Take a walk along the riva and see the sea organ and "greetings to the sun". The ancient glass museum is very interesting too.
Go to promenade where the Sea Organ and Salutation to the Sun are.
The area around the sea organ could be crowded so the pier in front of the forum is your best bet to get a nice uninterrupted view.
Go to the pier on the far west of town and sit down on the steps that lead into the Mediterannean as the Sea Organ plays a hauning melody while the sun slips below the waves. As dark arrives, watch the Greeting the Sun art installation light up the floor of the boardwalk and play mesmerising patterns as the ferries and cruise lines sail off into the night.
