Featuring intricately carved Haveli-style architecture, Raas Jodhpur, a boutique hotel houses a spa, an outdoor pool, and 2 dining options, including a restaurant overlooking the magnificent... Great modern hotel in the heart of the city. Enjoyed its proximity to sites in/around Jodhpur.
Boasting a garden, terrace and views of garden, JHANKAR Haveli is set in Jodhpur, 400 metres from Mehrangarh Fort. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Vikram was outstanding and always there when needed.
Singhvi's Haveli has a restaurant, bar, a shared lounge and garden in Jodhpur. Boasting family rooms, this property also provides guests with a terrace. I love this place, the staff, the quiet location by blue city and back entrance of fort.
Offering a restaurant, Shivam Guest House is located in Jodhpur, close to the bustling Sardar Market. Free Wi-Fi access is available. The property is situated just 1 km from Mehrangarh Fort. We had a wonderful stay at Shiwam. Raj, the owner, was very welcoming and friendly.
Make sure you get there 9am sharp. If you are staying in the old City you can walk to it (30 min) uphill. Take the lift to the outdoor courtyard. And take an audio guide available in 5 international languages plus English. It’s bette than a guide. Don’t shop at the fort everything is 10 times market rate. But it you do decide to shop make sure you have cash as most places only accept cash. Also, there are no atm’s near the fort.
Great, epic fort, but not so great management & overall organisation. Especially regarding the entry for locals & foreigners. There is no definitive direction for foreigners to go purchase a ticket which should be exclusively at ENTRY, i.e. straight after the security checkpoint. It is more of less expected you will 'wander' to the ticket booth. The audio book deposit is RIDICULOUS. They ask you totourist surrender a Government document prior to receiving your audio guide. Skip this where possible. Unnecessary. No Indians/locals are checked for tickets, however, if you're foreigner, you WILL be stopped at some point by tourist security which locals wander freely. The double standard couldn't be any more obvious & when you contest this to them, the lying begins.
Simply one of the most wonderful historical land-marks in the world - beautifully restored and with a well-thought through audio-tour-introduction to the history (even if a little pukkah in pronunciation!?). Even the most disinterested could visit this fort and exit impressed by the scope and layers of north Indian history and culture. Evidence of formidable architecture set in impressive, haunting environment of rolling desert landscapes, the Fort speaks of successive layers of the capacity of humanity to dream, to dare, to defend and to absorb the cultures of others so that your own can continue right up to the present.
Would suggest the travelers to hike to the fort via the route through the village post lunch hours, say around 3PM. It would take you a couple of hours to go around the fort and then you can head to the temple at one of the corners of the fort to enjoy the sunset. The view is just mesmerizing.
Use the audio tour (included in admission price - they will want ID/paasport/money as deposit) it's well worth it for the history it brings to life and the details it points out that you may otherwise miss. The fort is unmissable if you come to Jodhpur!
Awesome landmark. Make sure yuu reach well before the closing time int he evening. we had to rush as they were asking us to make it fast. Ideally you can take atleast 2-3 hours so reach atleast by 3pm not later than that.
Mr.Nikhil Mathurji and team are running an excellent facility in the heart of Jodhpur. Hotel is clean, staff is polite and kind. Hotel approach and entry can get tricky if you are new to Jodhpur, would recommend calling in advance of arrival. Entire team took great care of us and even helped arrange contingency transport for us which was much appreciated. Will personally recommend KPHH to others, absolute value stay with a beautiful open terrace view of the Mehrangarh fort.
It was an amazing stay, right in the middle of the city, with old-Jodhpur charm. The beautiful view from the room, of the Mehrangarh fort, was a welcome sight every morning. Very friendly staff especially Subhash and Vikram. Tastefully done interior with a lovely cafe and great food (although vegetarian). Its a lovely abode for solo travelers and couples to stay. Location wise the hotel gets a thumbs up. Highly recommended !!!
Hotel is conveniently located near the step well with a beautiful view of the Mehrangarh fort. The breakfast spread is good and there are many options for a Western or Indian breakfast. The restaurant staff Khan was most polite and attentive. He recommended us to try the ginger tea which was freshly brewed with chunks of ginger. On our departure day when he heard that we will have a long drive ahead, he even packed a lunch box for us!
It was wonderful stay. The decor is amazing. Fancy rooms with great views of lake and Mehrangarh fort. The shower here in the bathroom was the best in India in our whole trip of India. The service and staff are amazing. The food is tasty and the views from the hotels rooftop restaurant is breathtaking. They have the highest rooftop in the whole city. The views from the restaurant is amazing. Must visit property.
We like everything about this hotel. Close to clock tower and Mehrangarh Fort, Wifi is always good, bathroom and room are spacious and clean. Alleys around the hotel is quiet. This is probably the best property we had booked in India. Btw, food is amazing!! It’s not just simple curry, it’s the cuisine with soul in it.
Hotel is in a great location, only 3 min. distance for Clock tower of Jodhpur, room was very clean (unusual for India) and tidy, shower is really hot and hot water aviliable for 24 hours. The rooftop restaurant offers amazing view of Mehrangarh fort. Staff are very friendly and helpful.
Courteous and helpful management. Great rooftop dining area with mehrangarh fort view. Had a memorable experience with friends here. Artistic room and property decor, was refreshing to experience it. Hotel management guided on way to reach hotel for an hassle free arrival.
Cozy hotel located in the old city just 5-10 minutes walk away from the Mehrangarh fort. The staff were absolutely lovely and helped us get around the city, always smiling and willing to help in any way possible throughout our stay in Jodhpur.
