We stayed here for 3 days using it as a base, especially to get to Paestrum by train and Pompeii. Would have liked to have spent more time in the little town itself as the atmosphere was awesome and we were right opposite the water. Nice and non touristy.
Walk along the seafront promenade, take the ferry along the Amalfi Coast, stop for gelato at Nettuno, sit at outdoor cafes to drink wine, have a memorable dinner at Nonna Marina, go for a late drink at Cafe Verdi and talk to people, try to catch a performance at the Opera House, catch a city bus to Pompeii and take a train to Naples, find the elevator that takes you to the remarkably beautiful and ancient Minerva Gardens
Harbor is a nice place for a walk in the evening. but there are too many asylees who are trying to sell you some things and they are trying to fraud you. We just didn't feel safe enough to walk around them in this crazy time of terroristic attacks.
There are regular ferry service from here to the Amalfi coastal towns. Some direct to your destination and others via stops along the way, but the last boat back is early around 6-7pm so don't miss it. There's always the bus service which takes much longer and I would rather risk being sea sick then car sick 😊
Hotel built on Rock, near famous two brother rocks that are in the sea nearby. Nice view of the Salerno Harbour and city
