Arrive at USJ before opening time and run to the Harry Potter ride first! You need to ride it at least once, I think it's the best attraction there. Other than that I would recommend a fast pass for the Flying Dinosaur. I think the virtual reality attraction is really exciting too and on the Hollywood rollercoaster you can choose the music you listen to as you ride it. Really looking forward to the Super Mario World coming out soon, but the Harry Potter world is truly magical. Buy a wand and costume before you come to save money. The butterbeer and food in the tavern are delicious and remind me of home.
Online booking is necessary coz time is fundamental if you wanna enjoy your journey to every second. I went here in late September, which I guess the lowest point of the crowd, so I could enjoy almost every thrill in USJ. You shoul download some apps which can track waiting time of the games so you don’t have to wait very long.
We went on a Friday in December 2019 and surprising got on all the rides with very little waiting time. The longest we waited was 45 mins for the minion ride. There are a few rides that have single line. Even if you are in a group or a couple, as long as you don’t mind not sitting together than take this option. It will save heaps of time. Unfortunately you cannot take any food or drinks into the park. Staff check all bags. Also don’t bring a selfie stick, it’s not allowed either.
We were pre-warned about the lines at Universal Studios but we thought we would be going on a reasonably slow day, we were wrong. We spent most of the day waiting in lines for rides that lasted at most 5 minutes. We decided to use the single rider lines, but we found most of the time that line moved slower than the others. Unless you know the park is going to be a ghost town either get the fast pass or just dont go felt like it was a waste of one of our days.
Definitely buy the express ride pass before you go. It is expensive, but it is definitely worth it. Otherwise you face 2hr plus wait times on every single ride. We bought the passes, and loved every minute of our very full day there.
One of the worst themed amusement parks i have visited. The attractions are mediocre, the food was boring. One attraction is accompanied by at least 5 surrounding shops that has almost identical stuffs. We bought the 1.5 days pass and were finished on the second day before 12o clock, including several hours of meaningless wandering. The only positive thing is the souvenirs were cute, and that's really all.
The hotel is centrally located, not far from Osaka/Umeda station. Universal Studios Japan, Osaka Aquarium, and other top spots of Osaka are just several stations away. The hotel is within walking distance of several train stations (Higobashi and Yodoyabashi). There is a convenience store across the street. The area is quiet and peaceful. The hotel and room is clean, with complete facilities and amenities. We arrived early, and the hotel allowed us to store our luggage before check-in.
Great location! Near to Osakako station. Facing Osaka Bay tourism area, and a short walk to Osaka Aquarium Kaiyukan, and free ferry ride to Universal Studios Japan which is just across the narrowest part of the river. However once across, it's ONE train stop away from USJ. Complete facilities in the apartment, nothing short, for the stay for 7 of us.
It was a large and comfortable room by Japanese standards, comparable to Western norms. Location within the shopping centre adjacent to Universal Studios Japan was good for dining out and getting drinks.
Staff was very friendly and welcoming. Facilities were very good, bed was larger than the typical for hotels in Japan. Very comfortable. Incredibly convenient for visiting Universal Studios Japan.
Excellent location to Universal Studios Japan
