Take your ID. You get in free with your room key if you stay at the hermitage. Not many tables but only EUR25 a hand for blackjack so worth a go just to say you have gambled in ten worlds most famous casino. You can even have a James Bond martini.

You can go into the casino's public area for free of charge. Well worth a visit as the bulding is beautiful. We had a coffee in the cafe which cost 10 euros for 2 people quite reasonable we thought for Monte Carlo.

The architecture was sure grand and splendid ... Free entrance is just to the hall and few rooms which are really grand ... If you wanna play there are few machines .. but for tables have to pay 17 euros (need to have your passport as well) ... I wanted to play so paid the entrance fee and had got in ... Was expecting a big place with lot of tables to play but there were hardly five six tables and less people ... Machines are also there to play .... Was very disappointed with that... Insides were splendid and grand but it was too small for my liking ... Possible would be great for big money players but not for me ...

From the Hotel Miramar the casino can be easily accessed by exiting the hotel turning left and heading into the tunnel made famous by Formula 1. There is a F1 shop and round the corner there is a lift which takes you up to just behind the Casino! This was handy in my case as I had to get the city express bus to Nice the following morning and for also viewing the casino and the local area.
