it was one of the best parts during our trip.a guy took us with his small old boat to the small island with serbian nuns who were self sefficient in terms of things to eat they were really happy to have visitors so served us home made honey as well as home made tea of rose petals. then they told us about the hisrory of monastery. before we left the place we had a nice 500m swim in crystal clear water. one of the nuns had the same name as my late mother jelena. of course it helped to speak their language
our stay at sara’s place was perfect. we were extrememy unfortunate because there was a massive storm the day we stayed so we couldnt do the boat trip or the wine tasting but thankfully the apartment was so cosy we just rested and had a nice dinner in town. it isnt advertised i think, at least i hadnt understood that, but the owners actually own a travel agency down the street with a bunch of activities. they were all really nice. despite being unable to see lake skadar, i am glad we were staying at sara’s for such an awful weather.
We thought the apartment was more central in Virpazar, but in the end it was so much nicer to stay a little outside of the center of Virpazar on the farm in Zabes, because we had a big apartment with a really nice living/dining room and the views were amazing from the balcony of the surrounding mountains. We were allowed to eat fresh fruit from the trees in the area and Milos helped us with everything we needed including a long private boat tour of Lake Skadar!
If you want to experience Lake Skadar, don't waste your time in Virpazar or other tourist traps: come immediately to Pajović. You'll find everything there: an authentic village, a beautiful trek to the lake through vineyards, an unspoiled shore, a cozy apartment waiting for you with a terrace and a breathtaking view and, of course, the hostesses' delicious (and plentiful and cheap) homemade dinner. In short: the best surprise of our trip.
This apartment is beautiful and the family who own it were so lovely - they really went out of their way to make sure we had a wonderful stay, even taking us on an incredible boat trip! It's a comfortable, clean apartment with a lovely little balcony, and the location is great. Virpazar is a small town with a really wonderful atmosphere and I would highly recommend staying here and seeing the stunning Lake Skadar.
The owner and his family was very welcoming and nice. Apartment was great with all amenities needed. The view from apartment was stunning! It was very close to Virpazar center and lake Skadar (nice walking distance around 2.5 km).. We also had a dinner at their restaurant in Virpazar center - it has a great location with a terrace and great view! Highly recommend this place for a great vacation!
Lovely apartment with really good size bedrooms. Well appointed little kitchen. Lovely balcony with beautiful views. Easy drive to Lake Skadar. What makes this apartment is the lovely host who lives in the apartment underneath. Lovely lady who made wonderful breakfasts, and also sent up biscuits and treats, and gave us fruit fresh from the garden.
While the property has no sign to say where the apartments are, we found it pretty easily and were soon in our lovely room with balcony overlooking the green spaces within the centre of Virpazar. Everything is close by, parking is easy (out of season) but there are also lots of coach trips who visit to take boat trips on Lake Skadar.
We have a delightful stay at Casa Luna, the place exceeded locations. The house is conveniently located about a 15 min walk from Lake Skadar. The apartment was very roomy big enough for 4 adults. We also had the most delicious breakfast, dinner and wine prepared by our host. Delightful stay. Would recommend.
We loved everything about our stay at apartment lake view, especially the host and his mother who were extremely hospitable, helpful and lovely. Location was perfect for a stop off by beautiful lake Skadar. Very special place.
