Hotel Estheréa is set along the Singel canal in the centre of Amsterdam, only 300 metres from Dam Square. This hotel is in a quiet area and benefits from classically-styled decor with wooden paneling.... We booked 2 rooms and requested for connecting room.

Hotel Clemens offers accommodation right in the city centre of Amsterdam and a 4-minute walk from the Royal Palace. Famous shopping area Dam Square is only 500 metres away. The balcony is awesome. The staff are amazing.
Worth a visit to see the different architecture in the city which then leads onto the large shopping area and department store. We went November and everywhere was starting to display their windows and the streets ready for Christmas, lovely atmosphere.
Do.Not.Give.Money.TO THE PIGEON GUYS. Pigeons are filthy, the numbers of people we saw covered in pigeons asking their friends to take a picture is, yuck, feeling nauseous just typingg it. I rephrase it, you can give them money cause they obviously need it but for the love of god don't count "getting assaulted by pigeon" as a Dam square attraction.
Please do not go one the super market located opposite of central station they are racist. We are Indians one of the shop guy may be. From China or Korea told to us ‘look at yourself ‘ please do not go theree
The aweseome free tours leave from here. You'd be highly recommended to pre-book as we almost missed out.
take time and sit in the square and see the performers they all have one thing in common is the way all the people watching them are from all around the world different religions different views but all same common ground of being there and laughing and smiling together
A must for newcomers - if only to appreciate its' sheer scale in person! Truly epic proportions and a case of near visual overload, looking at all the grand buildings. Again, this is the tourist heart of the city, but from here all streets lead to somewhere intriguing!
The boat hotel is a comfortable flat 15 minute walk from the Amsterdam central station, and a similar walk into the main tourism and shopping area of Dam Square. Road works near the station caused some delays, but these were well distant from the hotel. The boat is moored in a quiet canal area near the Science museum. The facilities on board are clean and basic (no TV) but free wifi worked well, and the continental breakfast was very good in its variety and freshness. The staff were excellent. Very good value for money.
Great spacious room on the ground floor, with direct access to garden Very comfortable and large double bed, great shower Staff very helpful and friendly Very good breakfast in the morning Great to be able to leave baggage in hotel before check in Location just outside busy city center but close to Jordaan and some great restaurants and cafes nearby at very reasonable prices compared to dam square walking distance to station, all major museums Will be my first point of call for next visit
Due to covid, the main hotel was closed for renovations but the hotel upgraded us (free of charge) to its apartments located just next door with a view of the canal. The location of the hotel is centrally located within walking distance to all of the main sites (Dam Square and De Wallen, Museumplein, and the Anne Frank House), and just a few minutes walk to Rembrandtplein with TONS of dining options. The view from apartment 893 was simply stunning.
I really enjoyed my two nights stay at the Hotel des Arts. The hotel is beautiful, I especially enjoyed the lobby bar. The location is great, the Dam square is in five minutes walking. My room was spacious and comfortable. I want to give a compliment to Virginia, the staff member who greeted me and was very sweet and pleasant to talk to. I definitely recommend visiting the Hotel des Arts, I hope to come back there one day.
The best "value for its money" place. Luxury hotel located in the center of Amsterdam, right on Dam Square near King palace. Everything was just perfect, very helpful staff and very-very cool breakfasts. The hall for breakfasts is a separate wow impression (historical place designed in 19th century).
This was the best hotel we ever stayed in Amsterdam. The rooms have been recently refurbished, very artsy and quite big. Breakfast was delicious, staff very positive and helpful. The hotel is located right next to Dam Square and the old center. A big thank you to all Highlander staff for the great experience!
It is a nice little hotel at the north end of Warmoesstraat. Location is perfect, 3 minutes from train station, red light district and Dam square. There is a nice bar below. The rooms are very clean, WiFi was fast and stable. I paid 60 euros for single room with shared bathroom, I think it was a good deal.
Staff were very helpful and friendly. World Womens day while we were there and the staff were giving every woman in the hotel flowers, very nice touch. Rooms were comfy and just what was needed. Hotel a little bit out from Dam Square but just a short Uber ride in.
Room was clean and shower was nice and powerful. Location was excellent. Hotel is close to museums, bars, restaurants and a short walk from Dam square. Staff were friendly and helpful. There is also a vending machine in the lobby.
Spacy room in a hotel close to Dam Square
Visit The Nine Streets 'De Negen Straatjes' for unique boutiques with the odd Abercrombie shop. I love the shoes here, try United Nude-pop up shops scattered around right now. I love De Bijenkorf (The Beehive), the department store by Dam Square for its one step ahead, soon to come homewares trends.
The city really speaks to you! Look at the buildings leaning sideways on each other, the trains running through the city, Dam square... history is staring at your face everywhere you turn.
If you take a detour from the main shopping strip leading to Dam Square, there are a number of smaller shops for the more particular shopper. My favourite was what looked like a small musical instrument shop, but turned out to be huge. There was also a retro computer game shop that was a little expensive but had an amazing array of consoles and games.
Stay off the beaten track and away from places like Dam Square and the Red Light District. There are plenty of small cafes and restaurants close to the canals. Look for where the local people go to eat and take recommendations from your hotel. Always worth checking out the restaurants in the Internet before you go and always try to book
Find Warmoestraat, near 22 (Hotel Old Quarter) and walk straight on towards Baba Coffeeshop, walk straight past and you get the Dam square. It's beautiful!
Red light district, shopping district near Dam square, Dam square its self, the Royal Palace, and of course the coffee shops!
