On the other side, there's Hotel New York, the former head office of the Holland-Amerika-Lijn and a historical building in itself. Even if you don't stay there, it's worth checking it out, even if it's just for a cup of coffee.

Great hotel. Location was fantastic. Hotel staff very friendly and helpful. The view of erasmus bridge during day and at night was beautiful. Great places to eat and drink close by and the public transport is great just outside hotel. We got the 3 day rotterdam visit card good value for all your travel needs and saves you money on boat trips and attractions like the euromast etc. We loved rotterdam and look forward to returning sometime in the future. Its our second time staying here and would happily stay here again!
The De Rotterdam building which houses the hotel, designed by Rem Koolhaas, is absolutely fantastic. The interior was sleek and modern, very minimalist. It was an added bit of fun that we were able to see the hotel towers from almost anywhere in the city, as they are prominent features of Rotterdam's skyline. The bar on the sixth floor also has fantastic views overlooking the Erasmus Bridge and the city across Maas. I'm very happy we stayed here in style, for a fraction of the cost of Amsterdam!
I really enjoyed my stay in Rotterdam. The location of the hotel is perfect. It’s pretty close to the city centre as well as to the “Erasmus Bridge“ and the “Euromast“. It’s all within walking distance. (But tram stations are also pretty close.) The rooms were basic, but still comfortable and clean. And what I have to add is that the owners are extremely nice and welcoming people!
Wonderful room, with a great view of the Maas river and the Leuvehaven (harbour), lots of boats passing by. Take a room with harbour view if you can! Walking distance from the Erasmus Bridge, and Kop van Zuid (Tip: Foodhallen Rotterdam). Also close to the shopping/restaurant area.
The staff was very kind and polite. Hotel interiors are very beautiful. Hotel is in the centre of the town, there is an amasing view of the Erasmus Bridge from the window.
