It was beautiful and interesting, but you don't need a whole day to see it. My husband and I finished it in about 2 to 3 hours and that was with reading all of the historical information inside all the different cathedrals.
Pre book your ticket as the queue was long and although we still had to exchange an e-voucher for a ticket it saved time. Be sure to get somewhere to tell you where the entrance to the Kremlin is as loads of us were wandering about in all directions. The employees kept sending us in different directions to then be sent back the same way. It was frustrating for all nationalities.
Buy a ticket on the official Kremlin website. You will get a voucher which you can exchange on the day of the visit at the ticket centre. You will wait in a queue to exchange the voucher for maybe 10-15 minutes as opposed to (possibly?) hours waiting to buy a ticket on site. Inside the Kremlin itself there is not that much to see. There are a few old cathedrals - it will take you 15 mins to see each of them. The Armoury is nice, but also relatively small. It will take you about 1 hour to see it. The exteriors of the Kremlin will take you about another 1 hour to browse. Even though there is not that much to see overall, I would still recomend you to visit the Kremlin, as the things you can see are nice + it is an important historical location (+ there is not that much more to see in Moscow...).
We paid all inclusive ticket for RUB 700 and we were allowed to go into 3 churches and garden however 2 churches were closed and garden been just closed for security purposes without explaining more. If you wold only pay RUB 250 for gareden access you would see exactly the same.
Separate tickets are needed for Kremlin, armoury and diamond tour. These can all be bought in the same place. You can order tickets online to reduce your waiting time in queues but may find that not all tickets are available for all attractions online. Audio tours are available and recommended if travelling without a guide.
Please do yourself good and buy the tickets online. We spend hours in wrong lines because there is no clear guidance where to wait. The Armour Chamber has very limited entry tickets, so they can only be purchased online or very early in the morning, after a long and slow line.
The apartment was perfect! Warm, spacious, quiet, clean and comfortable. It is perfectly placed 50 meters off Old Arbat St putting us close to a great street for cafes, shops and bars, but getting a lovely quiet nights sleep every night! It's also 5 min walk to the closest metro station and 15 - 20 min walk up Old Arbat to red square and the Kremlin. Arina (our host) was also fantastic. Great communications through WhatsApp, replying almost immediately every time. She also waited up until 4am to check us in when our flight got delayed!
We were in room 521. Family - two adults and two children. Two-room apartment, fully equipped, has entrance hallway, no cold at night, no street noise. Good room lighting. There is even a washing machine in the shower room. From morning till evening there is a guard at the entrance. If there is a small problem or questions - ask a guard. A15-minute walk to the Kremlin. A 15-minute walk to Tverskaya Street. Thanks
Another great stay in my favorite Moscow hotel! The staff is very friendly and the location is just great. The rooms are basic, but clean and has everything you need. From a desk, a chair, a little fridge and a water cooker to have a cup of tea after a nice stroll in the hotel area. With the Kremlin and the Red Square around the corner.
I loved my stay in the hotel. It is located in 5 mins walk form the Kremlin. It was new and clean, equipped with all the necessities. Staff is very helpful and friendly. The only issue was the absence of an elevator, but the receptionist helped me with the carrying my huge luggage upstairs.
Breakfast delicious, great choice from salty to sweet, meat, fish, soups, vegetables, just perfect, Staff attentive, nice .....Hotel accessible from the airport, on the banks of the river, near the Kremlin, near by.The apartment cleanliness and order, functional internet.
The location itself is OK, geographically - right by the metro station, and within a 30-minute walk of the Kremlin. However, right next to the hotel is a chapel - that means occasional church bells, which can be a disturbance, especially in the mornings.
The apartment has 4 bedrooms with views, one large bedroom with the Kremlin view. Another large bedroom with views of the Cathedral of Christ The Savior. Also has 2 toilets, 1 bathroom and living room with spectacular views.
Really liked the hotel with it's stylish rooms, great sauna & pool and amazing and professional staff! The location is great with a short walk to the Moscow river where you can enjoy a nice walk to the Kremlin.
The hotel is situated close to old Arbat where you can enjoy long walks. It is close to walk to the Kremlin. The metro is 5 - 6 mins walk providing access to all of Moscow. Many good restaurants in the area.
View is excellent, you can see the city and the Kremlin. Nice apartment with all amenities. Host was very kind even when she barely speaks English, she tried her best.
