But at the end of the day our kids loved it the most to be at the lodge. Diving in the swimming pool, jump on the trampoline and get refreshments during barbecues in the fantastic garden. Modernized, spacious and clean rooms with a comfy bed! I'm not keen on heating in bedrooms and I found it difficult regulating the heating. The hotel is close to the messe in Essen (20min), so an ideal location for business trips. I had a very comfortable stay and the breakfast was sufficient enough to start the day with!

Offering a pool, sauna area, and free Wi-Fi throughout, this recently renovated 4-star hotel is located in the quiet Bredeney district. The hotel is just 5 km from Essen city centre, and 800 metres from the Messe Essen convention center. Hotel ideally situated. Staff made you feel welcome as soon as you enter. Food very good, Breakfast huge selection and very good quality. Room very clean and comfortable. Bathroom very clean and well equipped.

Sauna, swimming pool and breakfast were excellent.

good choice of food, nice swimming pool to relax after the long journey, nice looking bar and restaurant, friendly atmosphere, staff speaking good english.
The swimming pool and Sauna was excellent
This hotel has a restaurant with an outside terrace. You can find a bag in your room with towel, bathrobe and slippers if you want to visit a wellness center with sauna and swimming pool (not very big). The hotel is at the end of the urban area, but you can find supermarket in walking distance (2km by car).
The breakfast buffet was really lovely - so many choices, and everything was delicious. Great coffee. Nice, big swimming pool.

Personally I enjoyed very much the swimming pool and sauna/swim bath. On top of that the breakfast was truly one step above hotels of this class. Just 5 minutes from Essen Exhibition Centre.
Very comfortable place to stay. Pleasant room. Excellent breakfast. Nice swimming pool next door.
