Hotel Garni La Roccia 4 stars

Hotel in Andalo

Located in Andalo, just 350 metres from the Paganella 2001 ski resort, the family-run Hotel Garni La Roccia offers free Wi-Fi. The hotel features a free wellness centre and rooms with a balcony. Fantastic hotel located in the centre of Andalo just a few hundred meters from the Ski station. We stayed in a double room on the 2nd floor. Our room was spacious, warm and beautifully furnished, with a comfy bed and plenty of hangers/wardrobe space. There was also a nice terrace overlooking the village and the mountain, although we didn't use it much because the weather wasn't very good (I can see how seating outside must be great in summer though!). The room toilet was very spacious and comfortable too. We enjoyed the hotel amenities, especially the super rich breakfast, the spa and the free afternoon tea & cake session from 4pm to 5pm. The hotel personnel was always nice and helpful. We would love to be back one day. Absolutely recommended!

I hope we have the opportunity to return.

Parkhotel Laurin 4 stars

Hotel in Old Town , Bolzano

Set in the heart of Bolzano, 200 metres from the cathedral, Parkhotel Laurin is surrounded by a beautiful park where you can dine on warm, summer evenings, or relax by the pool. We chose it because it was close to the train station but it was much better than a convenient location. Quite a lovely hotel.

Al Capriolo

Hotel in Vodo Cadore

Situated in Vodo Cadore, Al Capriolo has a restaurant, bar, garden, and free WiFi throughout the property. Boasting room service, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. I think they must have the most comfortable bed we've ever tried... The impeccable cleanliness. Even had a peep in their kitchen when the automatic door opened and it was spotless and very organised. The food in their restaurant was so good that we did not bother trying anywhere else for dinner during our 3-day stay. It's a family run hotel with 2 restaurants and they do an awesome job, care for their clients and are always available to help.

FAQs about hotels in Dolomites

Spiky Peaks and Spectacular Pistes

Characterised by Tyrolean chalets and spiky peaks, the UNESCO World Heritage-listed Dolomites are a spectacular part of the Italian Alps. Some parts belonged to Austria, so German is widely spoken.

Site of several luxury Dolomites hotels on Booking.com is Cortina d’Ampezzo, a glamorous town with great après-ski and scenery that has starred in several films. To the east Auronzo di Cadore is by a tranquil lake, while Corvara is surrounded by stunning mountains. Nearby Ortisei and Selva offer fantastic skiing and rock climbing.

The riverside town of Bolzano (Bozen in German) is home to Ötzi the iceman, a 5000-year-old mummy found in the Alps above Merano, a ski resort with a castle and botanical gardens. Madonna di Campiglio in the Brenta Dolomites has access to over 150 km of ski runs, and one of the ‘vie ferrate’, hiking paths with steel handrails. Other Dolomites ski resorts are Arabba and Canazei, separated by the area’s highest pass.

Just south, Rocca Pietore is next to Marmolada, the tallest Dolomites mountain. Nearby Alleghe has a beautiful setting on a lake used for winter ice skating, while San Martino di Castrozza to the south-west has many Dolomites ski hotels near a range of pistes. The church spire of beautiful Belluno to the south-east creates a great photo opportunity against the backdrop of mountains.
