Resort in the middle of city. Lots of green
The staff are all really friendly, the pool area is really nice, and they have two turtles in a little pond which is cute! It is basic so don't expect luxury but the rooms are large and well presented with a decent bathroom (cold shower) and they provide you with towels. It's close to restaurants /bars. For our room we had to climb up a ladder. For the price you really can't complain!
This place is set in a beautiful setting next to the rice paddies. But it tries to do two things. It is an active cultural center with a museum, traditional orchestra, small art gallery, and groups come to visit. At the same time, it is a small resort with charming old teak cottages. But because of the cultural center, there are frequent disturbances and it is not a peaceful place to stay. As an example, we couldn't get a nap in the afternoon because of a chattery group of ladies taking pictures just outside our room.
The best hostel, I ever been. Spacious dormitory, two chargers in each bed, double light high and low. Double lockers for suitcase and smaller things. Luxury bathroom and friendliest staff.
The location is quite good in the Prawirotaman area.. you can find nice restaurants and coffees around. The area is somewhat of a tourist enclave, however it is a nice change from the otherwise very busy streets of Yogyakarta. The rooms are basic with shower heads above the toilet.. don’t expect any luxury. The personell is nice and breakfast is good :)
Nice little hotel, kind of B&B on steroids. Just keep in mind it is a one star hotel and don't expect five star luxury. For a one star it is excellent.
After backpacking for a couple of weeks, we felt that it was time to get some luxury and time to relax. And our stay has been awesome! Beginnig with a caring service right from the start, nice staff and helpful front desk assisting with all sorts of tours, guides and bookings of trains. The room itself was beautiful, comfy and clean. Breakfast was an awesome mix of continental, european and asian, with lots of fresh fruits, juice and goof coffee.
